Guest guest
You won't believe this but my sister went down to the local Mc s to see if she could find a Polish national to help my mum out at home. We lucked out. We found a young teacher who came for an hour every morning and was a joy to have around. After a good year with us she has now gone to be with a friend in another part of the U.K. She arranged for another girl to replace her and she turned out to be a cardiac nurse by profession! ( Great because both my parents are both heart patients so they have lots to talk about.) I had a Polish lady help me while living in Germany. They are a tight-knit community and conscientious as far as our experience is concerned. Maybe you can hook into that community. If one can't work, they will always find one that can. And we have always found too that they are very child friendly..... Just my 2 cents :-)) hopeformybaby schrieb: > > Dear listmates, > Does anyone know of a good agency/organisation that specialises in > live out carers/au pairs/mothers help for children with special needs > possibly in the London area? > > Ideally, I want a live out but would consider live in if need be. > > I am VERY DESPERATE and would really appreciate any responses. > > Many thanks, > Angelle > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG. > Version: 7.5.549 / Virus Database: 270.9.9/1806 - Release Date: 22/11/2008 18:59 >
Guest guest
I got my nanny/housekeeper from advertising on Gumtree! I was very specific about what I needed and got quite a few good applicants and I live in the middle of nowhere. The lady we chose is amazing with my autistic son and my 4 yr NT old daughter as well as picking up and being inventive with the SCD cooking and keeping the house nice and tidy!! I made sure I outlined all the things I wanted them to do in the ad and insisted on appliants with experience working with autism.
