I first heard of IGF-1 as an argument for how rBGH makes milk unhealthy: it makes the milk have higher levels of it, and supposedly it encourages the growth of tumors. But, since then, I've seen the amino acid stacking, HGH precursor advocates talk about elevating IGF-1 levels as being a good thing to do. So, what's the deal with IGF-1?
