Guest guest
The last few times I've been in Wal-Mart, they have had a freezer bin with fish labeled " Wild Salmon " . The package indicates that they are wild salmon caught in the pacific ocean. They are whole filets with the scales left on, but no head or guts. The packages says something, I can't remember the exact wording, like packaged in China or something. Whatever it said, it left me thinking that it was cut up and packaged somewhere in Asia. I didn't see anything that indicated that it was farm-raised. The price is $6-7 for one filet which is a really, really good price for a wild salmon. I've passed up this deal because my gut instincts told me that there was some catch that I wasn't seeing. After all, wal-mart is just in it to make money and they are really sneaky so it's probably not really wild. Maybe it's from a farm called Wild farm? Does anyone know what to make of this – " Wild " Salmon at wal-mart at a really good price? Katy

Guest guest
My stepmother bought some " wild " salmon while I was visiting them at this place called price chopper. The fish guy said the steaks were wild, not the filets, so she bought the steaks. I had the reaction I only get to farmed fish though, migraine and face rash(looks like heat rash). I'm really suspicious of " wild " supermarket fish now . Best Wishes Michele
