Katja,

I read her book Cure for All Diseases years ago and back then I though t it

was extreme. I have done her parasite cleanse and the liver cleanse too. I also

followed her protocol when I had my amalgams removed.

We don't use chemical cleaners etc.. and I've eaten mostly (except when I'm

away and am forced to eat non organic veggies- I don't eat egg, meat, poultry

or dairy when I'm out unless it's grass fed etc..) organic food since I was 10

years old (I'm 37 now) but I grew up in a cancer cluster and this is always in

the back of my mind (one reason why I've been very careful about what I eat

for years now).

I've been eating NT for over 8 years now but I'm always fine tuning

(cutting out grains for various periods, cutting out raw honey , dairy etc..)

I'm

frustrated that I have this but I guess it just means I have to keep fine

tuning.

oops, forgot to say I've never used a microwave in my life LOL!When we used

to move alot the first thing we would do is replace the built in microwave so

common in modern kitchens these days. I didn't grow up with one either but my

parents bought one a few years ago and they both had/have cancer now (not the

only cause of their cancer but it doesn't help).

Katja,

thanks, I'll check out that site. When we built this house we used Livos on

the floors (no urethane) but did use latex paint. I also made a new yeats

resolution to only buy organic clothing and have pretty much lived up to that.

We should get together some time soon (when weather gets nicer)

Christie,

My husband thinks she's nuts too. The whole parasite thing as a cause for all

diseases is a bit too much for him . I do thinks some of her ideas are sound

and others too alien. I guess it takes a trip down to Mexico to find out. I

don't think the average person would be able to implicate her program without

going down to her clinic.

elaine -

it sounds totally frustrating! and it sounds like you've been doing

everything right! one thing we've done lately is invest soundly in AFM

SafeCoat, which you can find at www.healthyhome.com - it's non-toxic paint

that has been used in cancer centers for 20 years. they have a primer that

will seal in the latex outgassing, they have stains and " urethanes " , they

even have driveway sealer, all non-toxic and odor free! we're also very

careful about clothing and furniture too - it's all either organic,

oeko-tex, or second-hand, cause they treat fabric with formaldehyde and

schtuff too! :(

cancer runs rampant in my family and though i'm making tons of life changes

over the last few years, ya know. i'm 30. i don't know if it will be

enough...hopefully it will for amber though!

Deb,

yes they said it was a fibroid but how can they know for sure using

ultrasound only? I'm leaning towards xenoestrogens as a possible cause. I'm

giving it

some time before I get it checked out because if it did grow during pregnancy,

it will be shrinking since I had my baby 2 months ago.

the lab to check. If mine had of been malignant they would have done

a hysterectomy. But's that's very rare.

---> Before I started teaching I worked in a research lab with very

volitale chemicals. I remember my professor telling us to not

pipette by mouth as it would mess up our hormones. Naive, young, dumb

me thought he couldn't be serious and we all did. I wouldn't be

surprised now if my fibroid could have been traced back to that.

Then add more this and that xenoestrogens and whaala...something you

don't want happens.

You might do some searching but I believe they often do shrink after

pregnancy. They shrink at menopause.

Oh yeah...the size of a big orange and growing!

I was also losing tons of blood....like on the way to work turn

around a go home amounts. I never regreted that surgery at all. Plus

I had 6 weeks to lay around and read to my heart's content.

But....as I said I think you're very wise to treat this seriously

even if it's not right now. I believe it's an indicator of something

off and you've got me reconsidering my lax ways!

There also an new article by Ricki on the WPF site. She talks about

using vitex and CLO to work with her fibroid. It's short and maybe

under women's issues? Let me know if you don't find it.

They can't know for sure, of course. My point was really to consider

both possibilities.

If you're not getting any symptoms, I'd carry on as you are. Maybe

just think about any possible sources of xeno estrogens to beware of.

But if you have got some symptoms, wouldn't hurt to try the vitex

and CLO and see what diff it makes.

Then again, so close to having a baby, your hormones are probably

still all over the place, so best to wait a bit.

Well, I've made that clear as mud, haven't I? :-)

Lynn, thanks. I remember reading it but I'll have to read it again now that

I'm taking this seriously.

I'm glad the surgery worked well, I'm terrified of the thought of surgery.

Anyways I'm hoping I can resolve this .

I do use CLO but haven't used vitex in years. I'm using DIM too. I'll look

into using vitex.

-----> If back then, I knew what I know now.........I doubt I would

have needed surgery. Plus I'm convinced all the soy sent it over the

top. Probably helped me get this thyroid problem also. (easy target -

soy the culprit of all disease LOL)

I recall someone telling me a few years ago they treated a fairly

large fibroid with a Chinese herbal drink a local herb shop made for

her. She said it took it daily as a tea for about 6 months. Of

course I have no idea what else was going on including if her age

made the estrogen levels drop naturally. But I'm sure you've

examined that part already really carefully.

Oh yes, I blame my thyroid problem on soy too LOL!

I'm not trained in TCM herbology but have been using TCM herbs for the past 8

months to address this.Tomake along story short I went on a raw food

*cleanse* that did more harm than good and then I started getting this pain in

my

uterus. I then got pregnant and at 15 weeks was diagnosed with this fobroid

because the pain continued and I was worried. In TCM mine is from damp

stagnantion

and blood deficiency which I'm prone to anyways. Acupuncture alone doesn't help

but the herbs combined with acupuncture help. I was in better shape blood and

chi wise this pregnancy than I was in previous ones.

Well, I think it caused cold stagnation which also affected my liver's

ability to break down estrogen. I felt something in my uterus and it was a cold

type

dull ache. Then when I got pregnant my uterus was expanding and to top it

off, my placenta grew around it which in the end did cause a placental abruption

which was scary at the time but I managed to stay calm with the help of my

midwife and my son was born healthy at home.

Lynn, did you eat a lot of cold raw food along with the soy? You were using

soy supplements too right?

My doctor told me there really shouldn't be any pain from a fibroid

unless it's so big it's pushing on something. I felt it though. My

uterus would get a bit cramping feeling all month long sometimes

enough to wake me.

That makes me wonder if the diet I was on also did more harm than

good. I've attributed it's rapid growth to soy. I really can't see

how a raw diet would make one produce more estrogen but who knows???

Maybe it has to do with the type estrogen produced on it.

Watch it and see what's it's up to in 3-4 months after your hormones

have re adjusted from pregnancy. Hopefully it will be shrinking.

Then keep on eye on it as you get closer to menopause. BTW...as far

as I know I've got nothing new growing down. I would think there

would be signs of something in the past 6 years if it's not diet

related. They removed 1 big one but also a bunch of tiny ones.

----> I don't remember exactly ..but probably in terms of salads. I

don't remember all the supplements and if it was fermented or not.

Probably not fermented ..it was a powder I mixed in fruit juice or

water.
