no grain diet and breastfeeding

Does anyone know if a no grain diet (not a no-carb diet),

particularly the diet that Mercola recommends, is safe to do while

breastfeeding? I'm assuming that it is, as long as I prevent my body

from making ketones by eating lots of veges. For the last 4 days, I

have eaten only meat and veges and good fats because i'm tired of

being tired all the time. The result is my energy has soared!!!!!

I'm thrilled, but hope that this isn't doing anything wierd to my

breastmilk, like adding toxins to it.

hi, adele -

well, i have an 11 month old too, and we're completely grain free. also i'm

completely starch free - whatever carbs i get come from raw milk, whatever

is in yogurt, fistfuls of coconut, and the occasional piece of fruit. i

love me some spinach, though!! amber seems to be just fine, and my body is

happy too. it seems to me that carbs in general are just... " extra " . as long

as you're eating enough calories, and as long as you're eating high quality

fats and plenty of veggies, and you feel good and your baby feels good, i'd

say you're fine!

and secondly, as i'm learning from the list and life, babies are tough.

just do what feels right and if baby tells you it's not so good, adjust :)
