Guest guest
>The last few times I've been in Wal-Mart, they have had a freezer bin with fish labeled " Wild Salmon " . I bought some, and it was really, really good :-) No doubt someone will say it's not the real thing :-( Just in case, I guess I'd better get some more and enjoy eating it before I read any more on this list.......... {LOL} and the K9's

I buy mine from a natural food store fish market. The " Atlantic " and other varieties of salmon are often farm raised. These salmon have a coral-colored hue and are a much lighter shade than the reddish wild Pacific varieties like Coho, Chum, Sockeye, and other varieties. Also, I think the farmed fish look much more fatty than the wild ones. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about ??? deanna

ALL atlantic salmon are farm-raised. they're on the endangered species list and it's illegal to fish them in the wild. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about ??? except *king* salmon which looks awfully similar to atlantic and is fatty. at least the king in my local fish store fits that description and it's wild pacific caught.
