Guest guest
Hi everybody Just got some OAT results for my two kids (one went from severe autistic to Asperger , the second is PDD-nos) and I was wondering if some of you might have an opinion on the following: Both showed similar results: high oxalates results (550 for one, 680 for the other, when the ref. range is below 80). Now, the strange thing is that my kids are both on LOD and have been for over a year. I have no idea if their levels were even higher than that before but has some of you ever got such high results. sulfur metabolism (again, similar for both) high homocystein B6 ok Glutathione reduced body stores depletion GSH cystein (ok) deficiency folate (B9) B12 (ok but close to low end) Obviously this points to methylation problems (porphyrins testing came ok except lead for both kids). So the good news is the mercury is gone (compared to previous porphyrin) but the methylation pathway are not corrected. Anybody can explain to me why the cysteine levels are ok while the rest is not (all the info I read keep saying cystein is often low.. and that points to B12 deficiency but somehow, my kids cysteine level is ok... any idea?) Thanks in advance for any opinion Veronique PS: I live in the Netherlands. No DAN doctors here... so am on my own !
