By the way, you're supposed to add " POLITICS " to the subject line when sending stuff like this.

So I have no idea about what they publish. I found the article after doing a google search. There is an article in New York Time today about completely decoding the corn genome by 2007. Then we will never have to worry about what type of corn to grow again. ….Well, what they are saying is that they will then be able to make it disease and draught resistant, as well as give a high yield. The second to the last paragraph explains how the two Big seed producers will not have to spend any thing for this project, but will still get to make money from it. >>By the way, you're supposed to add " POLITICS " to the subject line >>when sending stuff like this. Sorry. I was in a big rush, and never gave it a thought. If it helps…I was late for my meeting because I stopped to post the article.:-)

Read an article years ago about the Hopi are still growing their original corn seed in near desert conditions. The roots go deep to get water on their own. Maybe those old seeds know something science hasn't thought of. Wanita
