Guest guest
My 82 year old mother's doctor recently told me that she thinks that my mother might have Lewy Body Disease. She seems to have many of the symptoms. She started with the physical symptoms of Parkinson's. She shuffled and stooped over, leaned to the right, had frozen movements etc. She has now pretty much lost the ability to walk even with a walker. Mentally, she has been declining very rapidly over the last few months and has had a few visual haculinations. Unfortunately, her doctor has been ill the last few months so we have been a little in the dark. What exactly is neuroleptic sensitivity? In September, the Parkinson's symptoms had gotten worse and the neurologist put her on Sinemet. I had to take her to the emergency room because she couldn't stay awake. It was then concluded that it was a reaction to the Sinemet. Would appreciate input. Help. Thanks, Barb
