Hi Dani! This is a good question and I can not give a definitive answer. I

have heard over the years that the floaters were the goodies and sinkers

were stinkers, lol. But yes, this group says, no way José.

Um, it was some African tribe as I recall that had great floaters, good

health and all of that - they made the evening news. Well, I have been a

raw vegan recently for a time (can you say nothin' but fiber?) and I'm

afraid mine sink. Me husband's had the floaters until he went to meat and

cooked again. Now they sink but don't stink.

Perhaps the smell is the best indicator. No smell, all is well.

Ya know, on the nt_politics list we were talking excrement consumption

because I have read about some raw foodists eating the solid goodies for

vitamin B-12 and drinking urine for who knows why. Anyone know why you'd do

this pee drinking?

I just joined and have been looking through past posts. I have

noticed a few of you mention that your bm's are suppost to sink.

Where did you learn that? I have learned from a few sources that

they are suppost to float! What a learned was that if you are

getting enough fiber they float, if you are getting too much protein

they sink, and if too much sugar they leave skid marks. Sorry about

the gross topic, but I'd like to know what is the truth!

I have been seeing an ND for about 6 weeks now. He found that I don't

digest completely fats, carbs or protein. I told him when I started

that my BM's float. I don't remember his comment when I told him that.

The other day I told him that some was now sinking and he said that is

because I am now digesting fats! Woo Hoo!!

Well, there should be a little handle on the upper-left corner of your

toilet...

Also the degree to which you need to wipe. I love it when they come out

clean, but I haven't been able to get it consistently. They seem to come out

cleaner with more raw food, and they seem to smell less when that happens

(although mine don't smell too bad anyway.)
