Approaching this from a TCM perspective - heavy periods (menorrhagia) can

stem from heat in the blood. Naturally the blood is cooled on a raw diet.

Thanks Elainie. Perhaps raw eating should be a seasonal thing? My problem

was mainly pain, heavy was only occasional, maybe my case being more

dysmenorrhea? Many women on all raw foods cease menstruating altogether

(amenorrhea), which is not a good thing. Now, Helga brought up gluten

intolerance and menstruation on the *other* list. I will leave it to her to

add the connection here if she so desires (no pressure dear ;-)
