Guest guest
At first I was expecting to read that it was the microwaved popcorn itself that was the problem, which wouldn't have surprised me. Then that it would *eating* the artificial butter flavour, which wouldn't be a great surprise either. But no, it's breathing the butter flavouring in that killed and maimed people. And whaddya know - that doesn't surprise me either!! Cos I just read about a couple of guys that went into an aspartame factory without the mandatory breathing protection. One is now dead and one has permanent lung damage. Urban myth? Maybe, but this new story lends some credence to it. How many other artifical flavourings are toxic topically as well as taken internally? Or maybe the real question is - how many are not? deb > Just interested to see if anyone has any comments on the microwave Popcorn topic: > > http://story.news./news? tmpl=story & cid=519 & e=1 & u=/ap/popcorn_lung_trial >

Guest guest
Deb, Great post. My husband used to think I was a nut case about stuff like this. Well over the course of 23 years of marriage he is now coming over to my way of thinking. All those additives are really awful. If more people ate real food and then went back and ate some of the awful stuff they would be surprised how artificial they really taste.
