Guest guest
Dear Elanie, You may be just the person who can help me. I am not very familiar with eczema causes and cures and it sounds like you've been through it all. My grandson's girlfriend has it and he asked if I could advise what she could do about it. Can you help me? Do you have good websites I could check out too? Perhaps your grandson's girlfriend should start a food diary since each individual reacts differently to foods. Then she could pinpoint the trigger causes. I honestly believe that when a person is healthy , they can eat all sorts of natural foods (not packaged but real food) and nit get reactions. I think my immune issues stem from being formula fed and vaccinated ( I grew up eating real organic food). Elainie
Guest guest
Stop me if you've heard this one... I think Doug Kaufmann associates eczema with fungal infections. He says that lots of our common foods (grains, peanuts, citrus?) are infected with fungus. So a low-fat diet based on them would probably set you up for fungus. Sally Fallon says that animal fat is antifungal. So switching to a diet that minimizes fungus-containing food and includes animal fat (and/or coconut oil?) can help get rid of conditions that involve fungus. Kaufmann says that any time a disease is of " unknown etiology " , it probably involves fungus. I figure that anything that is alleviated by increasing intake of animal fat or vitamin D might very well be associated with fungus. Isn't this stuff fascinating? > > Katja, > > When I was vegan macrobiotic I had terrible itchy eczema. The > interesting > > thing was that i did not eat any nuts/seeds/oils/or glten > containing foods ( no > > flour products, seitan, no oats, barley etc...) and no sugars ( > not even > > fruit for many years).
