Guest guest
Does anyone know if the information from Dr. Sears about fats is true? He has developed a " pharmaceutical grade " fish oil so people can take high amounts of it without ingesting toxins, to reduce inflammation and improve everything from fibromyalgia to MS to Alzheimers. I don't disagree with that but then he says that eating saturated fats is bad because the arachidonic acid gets converted to Omega 6 oils which cause inflammation and thus chronic disease. This goes contrary to the Weston A. Price information which says that saturated fats are good and necessary. Also, he says you can measure your health by measuring your arachidonic acid/EPA blood plasma ratio. I try to follow the " Sally Fallon diet " , eating organic meats, fish, vegetables, fruits, coconut oil, olive oil, butter and minimal grain and dairy (don't tolerate dairy and too hard to get raw dairy in this state). I'm wondering if I should try the pharmaceutical grade fish oil and if I should get the AA/EPA blood test. And why does Dr. Sears say saturated fat causes inflammation and is bad?
