Guest guest
Hi all, I don't know about you, but I get completely overwhelmed with everything that needs doing this time of year. I also feel like I'm a different person since autism entered my life It started with little things e.g. watching all those shoppers with their Primark bags desperately rushing up the high street, and feeling ever so slightly cynical when I pass by the greeting card shop to see it's 'great auntie-in-law day'..... anyway, I decided this year to boycott the xmas card thing because 1) I don't have the time. 2) It's really expensive - over 20 quid last year. 3) It's ecologically unsound. 4) I buy charity cards but even so the charity doesn't get 100% after production cost etc. So I've told everyone that I'm going to donate the xmas card money directly to a charity of my choice, everyone has been really supportive of the idea. I decided to give to Treating Autism and The Autism Trust. After all, they're charities close to my heart! I thought I'd share it with you and see if anyone else wants to do the same. Merry Christmas Jane and family
