Guest guest
Not sure on cause - I know L-glutamine can firm up poo, but I believe a lot of kids do not do well with it. I did want to say that LOTS of baking soda (sodium bicarb) in the bath used to take the sting & red out of DD constant diaper rash. Wish you well - Jenna jamesboydr wrote: Hi all we have a problem was doing watery runny poo for last 3 days, yesterday when he did one its burning his skin (like asid in it) and very red rush on bum and today he did 3 already and the last one was greennish jelly looking and a bit of red we not sure blood or something else. any idea anybody please thanks teresa

Guest guest
When we had this problem, probios often seemed to help more than anything. Also, lots of water and always washing the bum in the bath after each bowel movement. If you can't do that (and we often didn't manage) if you can put a barrier cream on the bum, that's great (don't know how old is) sudocreme has a mild numbing agent that helps with the pain and metanium will also clear up a rash quickish. Best wishes, Darla x > > Hi all > > we have a problem was doing watery runny poo for last 3 > days, yesterday when he did one its burning his skin (like asid in > it) and very red rush on bum and today he did 3 already and the last > one was greennish jelly looking and a bit of red we not sure blood or > something else. any idea anybody please > > thanks > teresa >

Guest guest
, why don't you take a sample to the doctor and have them test it for pathogens. I'd be interested myself also to hear an opinion on the green colour. Nobody has satisfactorily answered that question as to why poo turns green. Also I'd get him onto some electrolyte solution, think it's called Pedilyte here. Hope he's feeling better soon. jamesboydr schrieb: > > Hi Darla > > Yes we do that cream and probiotic and washing bum. Guest guest
Hi , I wasn't sure if was still taking metronidazole (or if he finished last week). Metronidazole can be very hard on the body/liver . It gave me a very nasty back ache the first time I took it (and awful bowel problems). When I needed a 2nd course I managed to take it longer with milk thistle. Now I believe the metronidazole was far too hard on my liver and the milk thistle helped. Also lots of probios after and as much rest as poss. Are you still giving metronidazole? I would look into stopping asap if so. Hope feels better very soon.
