Guest guest
Re: Candex and probiotics. Mandi can you or anyone advise? I have just given up on 1 1/2 tsp Nystatin after months with not much effect and switched to daily 2 1/2 Candex and 1 Sacc Boul with 1/2 tsp Therbiotics (104 lb 13 yr old) - what is the minimum time needed between taking candex / sacc boullardii and Therbiotics - does it have to be an hour? >>Give the Candex with a full glass of water should speed it on it way. I give it at Sam's bedtime and then give the probiotcs when he is asleep at my bedtime, at least 2 hours later. There is no protease in Candex so you could give protein breakfast with it? The between meals is so the enzymes don;t get caught up digesting things as its so difficult to find time to fit everything in before school and between dinner and bed. (I assume that candex will gobble sacc boull and so should not be given at same time). >>I always assume this, they are too expensive to waste. I use up to 6 Sacc B at a time FWIW but not for long (10 days or so) or wouldn't be able to feed kids also!! ££££££££££££££ 2-3 is maintenance dose here If later I try VSL would i still need Candex or another yeast killer and probiotics? Also does CP1 taste horrible as we still need to open capsules here. Many thanks - catherine >>CP1 is not a bad taste, thank goodness for small mercies eh? Dioxychlor DC3 is great for gut bugs, no taste in glass of water, advises give between meals, I do it with and without (Sam is grazer) with success, cheaper than Candex and a lot less bulk, will do in bacteria as well as yeast. Guest guest
Meant to say I give/take SaccB with other probiotics with good effect, SaccB and CP1 are Sam's staples (throw in some Culturelle and PD powder when the urge takes me). SaccB and Primal Defence caplets are mine. Primal Defence powder smells and tastes I think, my Sam cool with it after all these years bless him Mandi x
