Re: Candex and probiotics. Mandi can you or anyone advise? I have just given up on 1 1/2 tsp Nystatin after months with not much effect and switched to daily 2 1/2 Candex and 1 Sacc Boul with 1/2 tsp Therbiotics (104 lb 13 yr old) - what is the minimum time needed between taking candex / sacc boullardii and Therbiotics - does it have to be an hour? as its so difficult to find time to fit everything in before school and between dinner and bed. (I assume that candex will gobble sacc boull and so should not be given at same time). If later I try VSL would i still need Candex or another yeast killer and probiotics? Also does CP1 taste horrible as we still need to open capsules here. Many thanks - catherine

I started taking probios out of caps because I had oral yeast.

cp1 tastes nice - though it didn't help with oral yeast I found. (our

cats are taking cp1 out of the capsule too :-)!! and generally doing

very well on it)

VSL#3 tastes almost like sherbert to me. Primal defense is just awful

but treats oral yeast where vsl~3 doesn't (maybe it's boulardii in PD?).

Candex and candigest out of capsule are very effective too but taste

revolting (in some ways worse than primal defense - but not gritty).

We take probios and S. Boualrdii at the same time. Taking probios (or

candigest) last thing at night seems good.

We did Apple Cider Vinegar baths for quite awhile (after reading your

post months back). We must have got through a couple of bottles but

have let it slip. We just put about a tablespoon in the bath. Can't

say we noticed anything eitherway - but we have skin probs now (after

the chlorine in the mains supply) so I think it's time we restarted.

Perhaps it was helping ....
