Guest guest
Unless an herb or spice specifically states so, you can bet that it has been irradiated. The universal " radura " is the symbol for this. For whatever reason, spices are immune to required radura symbols, but I believe it is labeled for meats and produce, and maybe packaged foods as well. The term cold pasteurization sounds much more appealing and is often advertised as so. I have seen irradiated ground beef in the supermarket with a higher price. They should just rename it to " sterilized garbage " . If meat production is bad now, what will it may like with the added " safety buffer " of this technology? Hmm, I wonder if these imported avocadoes and coconuts are treated..... -Terry
