It's not really a reaction TO iodine, exactly. If you have IgA deposits

under your skin (which is what causes DH) then iodine can 'trigger' them.

Once the deposits go way, iodine should be ok. Anyway, I ate a mess

of mussels the other day and had no reaction ... and they were the 2nd half

of some frozen mussels that DID cause a reaction a year earlier.

Anyway, if you eat seaweed and get itchy, then you know it's a problem.

If you don't get itchy, it's ok.
