I think it is good for sociable people. It does emphasize

low fat (or did) which would be difficult, and higher

carbs/grain, as do most of the mainstream diets, but

when I was on it, it was very tractable. The main thing

though, is the social aspect, and I'm not really into

" losing weight in public " .

The other part of it that works, measuring portions,

isn't a bad idea ... that's part of Body for Life and

Cliff Sheats too. Actually a lot of people lose weight

JUST by tracking their diet ... it's like quantum physics, when

you observe a thing, it changes!

I still measure portions, but mostly it DOES seem to be

the starchy foods (and nuts!) that are the weight-killers:

does it really matter how much lettuce or how many apples

one eats? And really, how much liver CAN you scarf down

in one meal? So using portion control on starches makes

sense to me.

Most of the usual diets though, call for starches with EVERY

meal which really makes one hungry all the time (or within

a couple of hours, anyway), which I find frustrating at the least.
