I'm trying that now (on about the third day of eliminating all gluten and bovine milk products, including kefir). I'm also taking Peptop Bismal 3x a day per Heidi's suggestion. And I'm feeling significantly better though there's still some discomfort and some bloating, but not as much. But I've also stopped drinking RO water (per Stanley's comments about it irritating his wife's GI tract), stopped all probiotics fearing they were causing too much acid (thot maybe my body needs a bit of a break from them), and stopped taking Dr. Schulze's Superfood. After a week or 10 days I'll try adding one back at a time and see how it goes. > I went of gluten and cow casein a > month ago. Hm. That's interesting about the immediate result when going off of a food that causes bloating. But now that I've eliminated several things at once I'm not sure what it is. Guess I'll find out when I add them back in. > >I've also had some achiness and for a long time have had problems with > >tightness in my neck and shoulders. > > Me too! That could very will be the hours sitting in front of a computer! It's difficult to get the optimal ergnomic setup for such long work hours. > I see in another email to Heidi you mentioned urinating alot - that > describes me to a " T " . Right, the urinating and needing to drink lots of water fits me to a T also. I hear about people not remembering to drink water during the day and it amazes me. I'd hate to be very far from water for very long. But I have noticed since I stopped the milk products I haven't been drinking as much water. So there very well might be something to this. ~ Fern

The new LCD monitors are quite nice, and don't have the same issues. The computers themselves are usually well-shielded, though I find the fan noise irritating. I found that locating myself near a window really helps though ... esp. if it opens. Another thing ... you can sit on one of those " exercise balls " for some time during the day. You DO get a workout, even though you are just " sitting " because you tend to bounce and your back has to work to balance. Really good for your lower back strength. -- Heidi Jean
