What the heck are you doing on a pepto >diet??? >Lynn You eat just meat, fruit and veggies along with pepto bismol 3x/day. Then add other foods back in after 10 days. Heidi's the one who posted about it. It's supposed to heal your gut and you can (hopefully) figure out your food allergies by doing this. I'm actually going to do a juice fast after my water fast, then start adding things back in after the juice fast. I'm hoping I can make it through 10 days. The first two days of water fasting have been difficult. Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc. Web Design & Development http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze3shjg Weston A. Juice fasting I find to be much easier. After the first four days the fast gets easier and you start to feel clearer. Have you fasted much before? I did do a 5 day liver cleanse that was essentially a juice fast for three days and two days of eating a small amount of fruit and veggies. And I've done an occassioal 24-hour water or juice fast. Tonight will mark 3 days of water fasting and I will have my first juice to kick off the 7 day juice fast. I started this mainly to kick of the pepto bismol elimination diet that Heidi posted about, but realized I was getting other benefits from the fast that I wouldn't from the elimination diet, so decided to combine fasting with elimination. I'm still not certain whether I should start with pepto bismol when I come off the juice fasting portion of the diet though. I do think my gut needs healing and maybe the pepto would help even though I prefer not to consume drugs - even OT ones. Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc. Guest guest
Hi Suze, Just wanted to say that I am following with great interest. Sure hope all goes well for you. I had a bloated tummy but mine went away when I started being gluten free. When I had it, it was painful to even lay on my back and rest my hand on my tummy. Now I am able to do that. Very best of wishes, Del > > Re: elimination diet question -Suze > > > > > > > >> The first two days of water fasting have been difficult. > >> > >I did 8 days on water once, I found it difficult. > >Juice fasting I find to be much easier. > >After the first four days the fast gets easier and you start to > >feel clearer. > >Have you fasted much before? > > > >Regards, Bruce > > > No I haven't.
