Guest guest
Does anyone know much about this? I was just told by my doctor this is why my injury I got is taking so long to heal. Because it never will. Right at this moment in time I am inconsolable as he says you can't fix it They don't know how it occurs (though my guess is it is a vitamin deficiency while growing) There has to be a way to reverse it. I damn well refuse to never be able to do kung fu, gym or hell even just a small weighted object of any kind again This sux.
Guest guest
Keep on refusing to accept what they say. Most doctor's know nothing about natural healing. My dh was told that the 4cm brain tumour he had would kill him if he didn't have it operated on. He refused and 18 months later, it's 1/2 the size (as best as we can tell). Maybe not everything can be fixed, but many things can be. I haven't had time to have a good look at what it's all about (gotta go make some dinner) but wanted to give you some encouragement quickly. This is really off the top of the head, from reading a short description, but I'd be looking at things like acupuncture, osteopathy, cranio sacral therapy. Then there's things you can do yourself, like visualisation, emotional freedom technique, reiki. there may be further adjustments to your diet, and supplements that would help - maybe something like glucosamine or MSM. Hopefully you'll get some answers from someone who knows more about it than me, but if not I;m happy to bounce ideas around with you offlist. Yeah, it sux, but it;s only hopeless if you believe it is. Hang in there, deb. > Does anyone know much about this? > I was just told by my doctor this is why my injury I got is taking so long > to heal. Because it never will. Guest guest
Hi deb, Thanks for the encouragement in the previous post. Initially I tore muscles ( and a joint ) from right side erector spine muscle round the ribs through to the chest. ( all the way down to the pelvis ) Then because it has taken so long to heal I go doctors for investigation and it seems the muscles once they reached a particular weakened state ect Brought to light the back problem where previous all my training/strength seemingly held it somewhat at bay so I was unaware of it _____ From: Deb [mailto:deb@...] Sent: Saturday, 17 April 2004 3:08 AM Subject: Re: [OT] scheuermann's disease What is the injury that isn't healing? deb > Does anyone know much about this? > I was just told by my doctor this is why my injury I got is taking so long > to heal. > > Because it never will. > > > > Right at this moment in time I am inconsolable as he says you can't fix it > > They don't know how it occurs (though my guess is it is a vitamin deficiency > while growing) > > > > There has to be a way to reverse it. Guest guest
I read a bit more about it, and there seem to be a range of different opinions (isn't that always the way with docs?) My pick would be cranio sacral therapy, or cranial osteopathy. Would you like me to ask my cranio sacral therapist whether she thinks it would be worth you hunting out somebody near you? deb > Hi deb, > > Thanks for the encouragement in the previous post. > > > > Initially I tore muscles ( and a joint ) from right side erector spine > muscle round the ribs through to the chest. > > ( all the way down to the pelvis ) > > > > Then because it has taken so long to heal I go doctors for investigation and > it seems the muscles once they reached a particular weakened state ect > > Brought to light the back problem where previous all my training/strength > seemingly held it somewhat at bay so I was unaware of it > > > > > > >
