Guest guest
Hi Vicki My son Luke does not digest carbs - what do you give him to digest carbs? Also great that has out on weight - that is something I would love to see with Luke - but with the SCD diet it is very hard to get him to put on weight. Was it anything in particular that helped him put on weight? Thanks Nicola Memory loss Diet/Carbs Anyone see this in yesterdays Daily Mail?I have noticed some big changes in since using enzymes aimed at carbs and increasing his dietary intake. The article also mentions blood sugar and again since introducing chromium I am seeing a far more communicative child. In the early days enzymes seemed to target gluten and cassein so maybe not as effective for my boys [gluten at least]. has a below zero working memory, so hoping for improvements with carb targeting enzymes. has also put on loads of weight, good thing for him, is dreadfully thin but not been on enzymes in the way has.I don't do science at all but it strikes me if is now digesting his carbs instead of them just being a source of pain then this idea could be on the money, what do the rest of you think?I'm really of the opinion that for my boys at least the way to go is enzymes rather than food elimination which often removes important things from their diet.We are still LOD but perhaps K protocol could put an end to that one also?Vicky

Guest guest
Nicola I am giving Zycarb and Carb digest. is learning to sign and is also making very good attempts at verbal language, always looking to get in on conversations and is showing things to us a lot, silly things like Santa visit at school, opening his gift bag and bringing out small presents, pointing to them and attempting to name them and sign the name, all unprompted! He is quite the little porker this last month, lol, even school have commented in his book, saying how wonderful it is, given that he was failing to thrive previously and was so small and thin. I'm hoping this will work for also who has been on low carb diet without the enzymes and is now painfully thin to the point his cheekbones are very prominent and as said already has below zero working memory. Need to get finances in order before moving on to K protocol, at the moment it is just cheaper to keep to LOD Sara, but the argument does exist for LOD as opposed to K, not good at science but I do know that High Oxalate foods are a problem for but can see the thinking behind K and am pretty convinced now that exclusion diets are not necessarily the way to go, well not in my experience at least.
