Guest guest
Hi Margaret, I am really not sure of the answer but I got this email from Willis recently where he mentions this and I thought I would post it on for you to think about and maybe others can comment too. I have been taking Vitamin D myself but just a 1000 IU tablet they are by Holistic Health Consultants and I think I bought them from Mandi. I do feel pretty good on this but I also take Adrenal Dynamite which has everything under the sun in it! Hope Henry is doing OK these days. FROM WILLIS:- Have you been following the research about vitamin D? In dark Scoland this is a major problem now being solved. See the appended articles. While some think that 800 IU is enough, children need 1200-2000 IU, adults over 40 need 4000 IU, over 60 need 6000 IU and over 80 may need 8000 IU per day! Anyway, that would be good for starters, and then test the 25 (OH) D and the 1,25 (OH) D levels to see how it is working.

Guest guest
I had this discussion with our DAN Muscroft recently as we also take Nordic Naturals CLO and I saw that it wasn't recommended. She advised to continue to take it as it is pure but to supplement vitamin D (which we also already did). We use the drops from Mandi which are 2000 iu per drop. I can't find the post now but there was one recently from Dr McCandless on her group which stated that active adults can safely take up to 10,000 iu per day according to the most recent research. has advised my boys to take 1 drop per day (so 2000 iu) and my husband and I to take 2 drops per day (so 4000 iu). Hope that helps To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: m.collins9@...Date: Sun, 28 Dec 2008 12:37:37 +0000Subject: Vitamin D advice please The Mercola information was useful. I have been using nordic naturals cod liver oil which is not recommended by Weston Price or by Mercola as it's low in Vitamin D.Please, what sort of Vit D should I get for H and me and how much should we take? (I have 3 bottles of nordic naturals to finish off.)I am on statins so have problems making coenzyme q10 (which I am taking) and need extra Vit D.Thanks,Margaret Read amazing stories to your kids on Messenger. Guest guest
Also you only need to take once a day, don't need to split dose (hard when you're taking one drop!) as it is oil based To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: m.collins9@...Date: Sun, 28 Dec 2008 12:37:37 +0000Subject: Vitamin D advice please The Mercola information was useful. Guest guest
5000u/day for approx 10mos now has my daughter's[23y] D levels ~ 50. Her adult brother has been taking same and has not reached that level yet. I, too, take 5000u/day with no adverse side effects. > > > > I had this discussion with our DAN Muscroft recently as we also take Nordic Naturals CLO and I saw that it wasn't recommended.
