Guest guest
I was thrilled when many years ago I got to interview Dr D when he came up here to Portland for his annual talk at his alma mater, College. To my chagrin, he was an utter jerk. sigh. feet of clay, or shellac or something... Lynn S. --------------- So what does the jerk look like? And how was his behavior? Do tell! Little guy, can't remember if he's a bit taller or a bit shorter than my 5'5 " self. Salt and pepper curly hair and beard (probably all salt by now), glasses. Looks pretty much like you think he does--he's a geek. If I were to meet him today I don't know if I'd think he was a jerk or just had Aspergers; I think he's very, very bright and doesn't care for people that much. We had a good interview and then we went to lunch and he said NOT ONE WORD the entire time apart from the occasional monosyllabic grunt or request for the pepper. And I'm a good conversationalist, even. He picked up the check, though.
