Hi Suze I haven't had the guts to try it yet. however, when I've used it on another part of my body, and just tried touching the tip of my finger to my tongue, the burning on my tongue was very intense, and put me off trying it anywhere else sensitive. > > But that's not why I'm writing this. I wanted to share another anecdote > about the oil. I've tried it on what I believe is a haematoma on my leg - nothing so far. I've also tried it on n's ankle which had been causing him considerable pain (the doc diagnosed and old injury was flaring up, but nothing more specific). It only provided very temporary relief, and possibly nothing more than would have been gained by rubbing vigorously with any other oil (ie it warmed up). The only thing that's made a difference is the anti-inflammatory the GP prescribed. I've noticed that these alternative remedies which work for other people just don't seem to work for me. VCO is another case - I notice no benefit from taking it at all. However, I'm glad you're seeing benefit from the oil. I will keep trying it, I sprain my ankles regularly so I'm sure I'll have the opportunity soon! > Ah, one more thing. I'm now trying the oil out on one leg to see if it does > anything for my cellulite. LOL Now that I am interested in! Let me know if it works! Guest guest
Could you give us the name of the DTO again, please. It is definitely intense, but the intensity subsides within a few minutes. But it's that intensity that makes it so good for healing. > >> >> But that's not why I'm writing this. I wanted to share another >anecdote >> about the oil. > >I've tried it on what I believe is a haematoma on my leg - nothing so >far. Hmmm...I have no idea if it would heal something like a haematoma - I think it's generally more for tendon, joint, ligament and muscle pain. But maybe, given the right dose - it might be of help - I really don't know. I've also tried it on n's ankle which had been causing him >considerable pain (the doc diagnosed and old injury was flaring up, >but nothing more specific). It only provided very temporary relief, >and possibly nothing more than would have been gained by rubbing >vigorously with any other oil (ie it warmed up). How much did you use? As with all herbal medications, I think the response you see is dose-dependent. And probably has to do with the frequency of application as well. >I've noticed that these alternative remedies which work for other >people just don't seem to work for me. VCO is another case - I >notice no benefit from taking it at all. I think that's qualitatively different for the average person than seeing a response to the DTO which should be much more immediate and more easily guaged than eating VCO. Especially if you have only a mildly slow metabolism or no major parasite problems and are just eating relatively small amounts of VCO. Having said that, I'm sorry you haven't seen results with either of these things, I use both and can't pinpoint any particular benefit I've noticed from the VCO, but nonetheless believe I'm benefitting from it. > >However, I'm glad you're seeing benefit from the oil. I will keep >trying it, I sprain my ankles regularly so I'm sure I'll have the >opportunity soon! LOL > >Now that I am interested in! Let me know if it works! > LOL! I'll be sure to post the results. I'm only applying it once a day now, so that may not be enough to do much. I may try 2x/day if I can remember to do that. But if you want something that helps reduce cellulite, apparently DMAE creams are good for that. I just started using DMAE creams on my face, but haven't found a good one for my legs yet - except the very expensive one from NV Perricone, who spearheaded DMAE skin treatments. BUt it needs to be fairly concentrated to work on cellulite, according to Perricon in his book " The Wrinkle Cure " . Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc. Suze, I keep getting these visions of you with one truly buff leg, and one cellulite leg. MFJ Wheeeeee! ~Katja
