MJ Hinman Juneau,AK Subject: [OBnurses] Request for input/adviceTo: OBnurses Date: Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 2:59 PM I am a RN/BSN. I have been a nurse for 11 years and have practiced ina variety of settings (ICU, home health, prison, ortho rehab). I amvery interested in applying to a L & D unit but am wondering what I cando to make myself appealing to a unit mgr since I have no experiencein this area. I am pursuing CEUs online pertinent to childbirth, neonates, etc. I would be willing to read any books suggested. Ofcourse, I realize that no amount of studying can make up for trueexperience but I can't get experience without getting hired. Anyadvice or suggestions would be appreciated.
