Guest guest
I found a recipe as well, but it was quite different - it's come out a bit funny, cos it's from a word doc, with 2 columns for different amounts and I can't find the original webpage. But yours was from his actual site, was it? so is going to be more accurate deb Ingredients: To make 1 qt To make 4oz Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil 16 oz. 2 oz Peppermint Oil 4 oz. 1/2 oz Wintergreen Oil 16 oz. 2 oz Habanero Cayenne Pepper Powder (300,000 heat units) 1 cup 1/8 cup Ginger Root (grated) 1 cup 1/8 cup Arnica Flowers, (dried) 2 cups 1/4 cup Marigold/Calendula (dried) 2 cups 1/4 cup Saint 's Wort Flowers (dried) 2 cups 1/4 cup Recipe: Put ALL of these Ingredients together in 1 BIG Jar on a New Moon. Allow them to soak until the Full Moon (about 2 weeks), then STRAIN the Liquid through unbleached Muslin Cloth or several layers of unbleached Cheese Cloth. NOTE: If interested in making an even MORE POWERFUL Formula, then allow the Herbs to soak for 2-3 months, before straining the Liquid on a Full Moon. Dosage: Use 1 or MORE Dropperfuls on the AFFLICTED Area of the Body and rub in WELL. --- In , " Fern " <readnwrite@f...> wrote: > ----- Original Message ----- > From: " Suze Fisher " > > >. > > >What is in this Deep Tissue Oil? > > > > http://www.800herbdoc.com/p58.asp > > > You can also make it yourself. Guest guest
No, it wasn't from Dr. Schulze's site, it was actually from someone who studied under him, so it may have been modified. Yours may be the " real " version, as I noticed on Dr. Schulze's site that his oil includes St. Wort flowers. Otherwise the ingredients are similar, except for the DMSO and the menthol crystals vs. peppermint oil. Menthol crystals are derived from peppermint, so there's not much difference there. ~ Fern Re: Deep Tissue Oil Formula > I found a recipe as well, but it was quite different - it's come out > a bit funny, cos it's from a word doc, with 2 columns for different > amounts and I can't find the original webpage. Guest guest
I don't know a *lot* about it, but DMSO is dimethyl sulfoxide. Are you familiar at all with MSM? MSM is derived from DMSO. The advantage of DMSO in this type of formula, as I understand it, is that it serves as a carrier for the other substances in the oil, getting the them to where they are needed quickly. Do a search through Google and you'll get tons of info on it. ~ Fern Re: Deep Tissue Oil Formula > Fern, What's DMSO..? TIA > > Dedy > > > <<Add the DMSO after you have pressed the tincture. Guest guest
And if you decide to buy some...it can be expensive and hard to find. Please buy pharmaceutical grade. It is a solvent. Don't buy it if it is stored in a plastic bottle...just the brown glass bottles. It will absorb some of the yummies from the plastic and you don't want that! In his formula there is no olive oil, he uses botanical menthol (which is concentrated peppermint oil as opposed to the crystals) and he includes St. swort. But the biggest difference is that there is no DMSO in his original clinical formulae. From what I know of Dr. Schulze, he would be simply apoplectic over the idea of using a solvent drug which is a byproduct of the wood industry, in any of his formulas. I don't know the history of ingesting DMSO but I do know that one of Dr. Schulze's philosophies is that you if you can't ingest it without harm don't use it externally either. Whoever labeled this formula as Dr. Schulze's DTO, besides modifying the formula, is stretching the truth a tad bit. There is a lot of that going on over the Internet regarding his material, which is one reason why Dr. Schulze finally started his own website rather than trying to legally go after everyone using his name or claiming to be his " student. Guest guest
Thanks, . I've had my suspicious about the source of this formula, but you've confirmed it. Sometimes it's difficult to separate fact from fiction on the internet. There are also those who are not necessarily labeling the formulas as Dr. Schulze's, and modifying them enough so that they aren't quite the same, but are giving them the same names as Dr. Schulze's. I'd far rather see them give them completely different names if they aren't the same thing. ~ Fern ----- Original Message ----- From: <slethnobotanist@...> > > Whoever labeled this formula as Dr. Schulze's DTO, besides modifying the > formula, is stretching the truth a tad bit.
