Re: chest infection and temperature. Antibiotics???

I suppose what I'm really wondering is whether you should take him to

hospital. You could ring NHS Direct and discuss it with a nurse. If your

Dad came over you could discuss this with him and you could both see

Tom. If you took him to casualty then you would probably sit around all

night feeling a fool but you would know you were both safe. If you don't

want to do that then probably somewhere inside you are confident that

he's OK really. You could ask your Dad to stop at an all night chemist

and buy a strip thermometer -- they have peg ones in hospital that clip

around your finger very briefly and give a read out. You can sponge him

to get his temperature down but maybe you need a better solution. Have

you given the second lot of antibiotics? I found NHS Direct very helpful.
