Thanks to everybody who's helped with my recent spate of questions.

Here's another one, which may seem a bit weird.

We went out for dinner last night for my birthday, and went to a

Greek restaurant we hadn't been to before. We had a seafood

extravaganza with flouder, mussels and all sorts, and they gave us a

complimentary ouzo. We hardly ever drink but thought - what the

hell, we'll try it.

Now, here's the strange bit, after eating a few things we wouldn't

usually, and having the ouzo, you might expect we'd feel a bit seedy

today. Au contraire. Dh, who is working on healing a variety of

things currently, including shrinking a brain tumour, candida, and

adrenal exhaustion, woke up with more energy than he's had in weeks.

He wondered if it might be the mussels, but I wondered if it might

be the ouzo.

" real traditional distilled ouzo has no side effects (besides

drunkeness) and will not cause a hangover because there is no sugar

added " & " The classic Greek drink Ouzo is made from a precise

combination of pressed grapes and herbs and berries including

aniseed, licorice, mint, wintergreen, fennel and hazelnut. "

Licorice is good for adrenal exhaustion and the other herbs are good

for digestion. Am I loony thinking that this may have done something

beneficial?

Thanks all, deb
