Guest guest
The interesting thing to me is the statement that celiac sufferers can get no symptoms. If I eat wheat or spelt, I get no immediate symptoms. But if I have an amount of it, i get diarrhoea (had it for 3 years chronically before I uncovered the connection). While I was trying to figure out what was going wrong, a dr told me that I wasn't gluten intolerant becuase my folic acid (or something similar) levels were fine. So I;ve always thought I was intolerant to gluten, could eat a small amount of it from time to time with no problems as long as I didn;t overdo it, but didn't have celiac disease. So I'm probably being a bit dim here and you've probably said this 100+ times already, but have I been deluding myself all along? Do I need to get tested for all the Ig's to see what's really going on? Thanks yet again HJ, deb " However, I explained to him that celiac disease was not an allergy and it can be symptomless.
