Thanks for the encouraging words Deanna :-)

Here's a quick update: I broke the fast last night with a pear. But my

stomach hurt a little after eating it and it gave me gas. It sure tasted

great though. LOL.

This morning I had about 1/4 lb. of haddock sauted in WFN ghee, with a

little celtic salt, and water to drink. I had no gas or any signs of

problems with the fish. The fish seemed much easier on my system than the

pear did. It also didn't make me bloat. The bloating is definitely down -

maybe about 50% if I had to hazard a guess. I've been doing the pepto since

Saturday, and have been taking fervita immune blend (haven't had any

feminine itch since starting that a few days ago) and Dr. Schulze's

intestinal formula 2. Right now I'm eating steamed cauliflower and WFN

ghee. I'll probably just have this and fish today, and *maybe* an apple. I

want to see if fruit in general is a problem. I don't think the *juiced*

fruits made me gassy, but the whole pear did.

I hope to intro lamb by the end of the week, and hope to get in some more

veggies in the next few days. BTW, this is still the initial 10 day period

before I intro things other_than meat/fruit/veggies - which will be the

testing period. Although after fasting, everything is a bit of a test, it

seems. Will keep you updated!

I can't say about juice because I rarely drink it, but I had

bowls of strawberries twice in the last couple of weeks and

both times I ended up with gas pains! Grapefruit doesn't

seem to be an issue though. I don't think apples are either,

tho now I'm wondering.

I don't think the issue (for me) with fruit is allergic ... probably

more like raw cabbage, just hard to digest.

---> where they hybrids? I remember reading hybrid strawberries,

which most are, are like iceberg lettuce. They're bred to last and

still looking wonderful not to digest.

I tend to avoid them also. Blueberries are my main berry.

Probably ...the wild ones really aren't very sweet at all. I love

the rabbit-eye from south Ga. Sweet and never give me a problem. I

think the problem is with veggies and fruit bred to last and

withstand shipping jostles.

I've had local tiny strawberries picked fresh that never give me a

problem but the big ones from Ca or Mexico sure do.

You're right cucumbers will also give me gas at times. I wonder

about heirlooms?

There is a special " burpless " cucumber that is low

in whatever it is that makes them burpy. My DH wants

me to grow that one. It IS a hybrid, but " hybrid "

is not necessarily a bad word, all the vegies we

grow have been bred to be human-friendly. Wild

apples are inedible! The problem is that that some

of them are SOOOO highly bred that they are unable

to fend for themselves or they are bred to be

" market friendly " (like cardboard strawberries!).

The wild berries that overrun Seattle were hybrids

from the early 1900's. They taste great and are really

hardy, so hardy that they take over entire hillsides,

like kudzu!
