Tom was not skilled in that way at all but was pretty academic. He had a real fear of humans, especially children as a result. (Can see this all improving now). I know another non-verbal child who has brilliant eye contact and is very sociable and I met a woman doing RDI for her daughter. The daughter was extremely high-funcitoning and verbal and in mainstream. RDI placed her development at pre 6 months and the woman was delighted because she knew her child was much more disabled than everyone allowed. The old cliche again that they are all different!
