Guest guest
Hi I sent the e-flyer out to a list for practitionerswith an interest in learning disabilitiesd and they have asked: 'Yes will mail out....no cost on flier though and when I look at website the cost is around £200.....many parents won't be able to afford this? Is there a reduced rate or are there any free places for parents?' what do you want me to tell them? Zoe
Guest guest
Hi Zoe Well, the price is discounted for TA members (and of course joining TA is a cost efficient move for all the savings to be made on Nutricentre supplements), but other than that, unfortunately no we are not in a position to offer discounted or free places this time around. We have approached Caudwell for help in funding places but have not had a positive response as yet. Having said that it could be worthwhile for individuals applying to the Caudwell Trust for conference fees as part of a biomed package, I don't know whether they would support this but worth a try. You could explain that we are a voluntary, parent led organisation and are running the conference on an extremely tight budget. We have a fantastic range of speakers, some from the US, and it is unlikely there would be another opportunity to hear them all at one conference in the UK again. x
Guest guest
To echo , it would be terrific if Caudwell funded parents would approach them or recommend the conference to them. We've asked them to subsidise these parents but heard nowt so far. Even the TA team is paying to attend - :-( > > Hi > > I sent the e-flyer out to a list for practitionerswith an interest in > learning disabilitiesd and they have asked: > > 'Yes will mail out....no cost on flier though and when I look at > website the cost is around £200.....many parents won't be able to > afford this? > Is there a reduced rate or are there any free places for parents?' > > what do you want me to tell them? > > Zoe >
