Re: Portsmouth problems again

If you want help from education you will find that they take a lot more

notice of the NHS diagnosis than a private one. Having said that this

has come up before and it is a Portsmouth rule which doesn't apply

elsewhere. You are entitled to an out-of-area referral and others on

this list will tell you who to ask for. The important bit is that they

have no right to refuse to diagnose him till he is 4, that is just

Portsmouth making stuff up as they go along, but you will need to go to

a different PCT/consultant to get proper treatment.

I know we've discussed this before -- those who know, am I getting this

right?

Yes, Sally, you are right, this was discussed extensively

previously. The emails should be in the archives - just search for

Portsmouth!

Hi there,

What a nightmare.

Although this list is great for advice, I would join and consult with

ABA-UK there. They have several consultants and lawyers who have

come across this problem before, I recall.

All best and Good Luck
