Guest guest
jo i have no doubt whatsoever that the trauma of circ has a lasting impact on boys. you may be on to something with your theory, however we have 4 boys, none circ'ed, and the 3 youngest seem quite normal but the oldest i do suspect he has asperger's. a neurologist confirmed my suspicion and referred him for special testing but due to insurance snafu's that hasn't been possible yet. this child moved an amazing amount in utero and was what, in hindsight, i would call a " difficult " child his whole life (he is 16 now). because of the atypical amount of movement in utero i can't help but wonder if the stage is set before a child is even born. vera > Now, in the UK, boys don't get circumcised as a matter of course > unless they are Jewish, when it is done without anaesthetic.
