Guest guest
I have a toaster oven with a " warm " setting...you might want to invest (~$30). I prop the door open very slightly to allow some of the moisture to escape so it doesn't take quite so long (overnight does it if I have the door ajar). crispy nuts and seeds temps My oven will only go as low as 170 when on and only as high as 115-120 with just the light. What is the reason for drying the nuts and seeds no hotter than 150? Is it an enzyme thing? Is soaking and drying at 170 alright? Any insight would be greatly appreciated- I have organic raw pepitas and would like to prepare them. Would I be better off at 120 over 170?
