Guest guest
If NHE is such a " scientific development " , why don't we here about it in the media? Just curious. Guest guest
There's something I should add here, Sherah. > > > On the other hand, you could try the Body for Life plan....a book > > written by Bill that is easily understood and very > effective > > AND what this message board was created for! :-) > > > > > > Sara
Guest guest
Well said. I don't think mere disagreements should lead to strife. I endeavour to never actually attack anyone over a difference of opinion, though being human I blow it now and again. Best wishes, AndyD > > > Sorry to get so fired up about this but, frankly, I don't see why > Andy is so bent on " enlightening " people to another program. > > > > Sara > > > > Just wanted to put my 2 cents in for what it's worth .... as a > > newbie, I am finding the talk really confusing when it's about > other > > things rather than strictly BFL. Guest guest
Hey, will all blow it every now and then. If we didn't, we wouldn't be humans! Guest guest
<< There are other cultures that eat hardly any carbs, or which may eat carbs but also eat far more protein and fat, and are healthier than we are (e.g., Eskimos, Cretans). Carb-cycling does NOT cause the body " problems. " >> < ***Eskimos live in the frozen tundra! Of course they need more fat! It insulates them and keeps them from getting hypothermia! > Isn't that beside the point? The point being, Eskimos don't have the body system problems you referred to as a result of low-carbing. The point wasn't *why* they low-carb. < High fat is only one thing I stated, what about fast foods where they use crap ingredients and the worst form of bread known to mankind, or instant meals that are so high in sodium that they make my kidneys shreak whenever I pass the frozen food aisle, or snack foods like donuts and little Debbie cakes that are in some cases high in fat and other cases just massive sugar hits. > No argument there; that stuff's all crap. Guest guest
I've partly already answered this question, but check out the following link at Rob Faigin's site: http://www.extique.com/askrob2-2.htm#2-2-2 (And do you accept the media as the standard for what's true or reliable? What matters is who has the best arguments.) Guest guest
That's half-right. I did about two months of BFL before I learned (from Deus Ex Machina on this board) about NHE. On BFL I'd lost a lost of lbs., but also some muscle, and needed more protein. Then I found out about carb-cycling, and the arguments made sense to me. Being human, I'm not always consistent myself, but I try to go where the science leads. Best wishes, Andy > Andy, > > I'm headed out the door so it'll be a while before I read this reply but I want to ask if you ever really did a BFL challenge? If my memory is correct, you were going to start BFL - and had many doubts - but never really started it and found NHE early on. Am I dreaming that? > > Sara > That's understandable. In my own case, since I enjoy science, what I > did early on was just go by BFL, getting my body used to that basic > change.
Guest guest
ROFL. That is so funny. No, I don't accept the media as the standard for what is true and reliable. I am very well aware of what they like to do. They like to sensationlize and show the extremes. However, I thought that surely this must be mentioned somewhere. Maybe a fitness magazine has written and article on it and critiqued it. Well, you can read more about it at http://www.extique.com/nhe.html . Actually, there's something similar endorsed by Bill himself. You can read about it in the Files section ( " Anabolic Burst Cycling System " ). AndyD
