Guest guest
Hi I am looking for a good quality but reasonably priced pro-biotic. The reason I ask is that whenever I talk to a Mum who is giving her child anti-biotics I stress to them that they need to give a pro-biotic. The next question is then always where and what to buy. I have recommended CP1 but the problem is the price puts people off. Is there a more reasonably priced one that I could recommend? Thanks Nicola

Guest guest
Thanks Mandi I have just had an email back from a Mum who has a daughter who seems to have delays in her speech but at the moment is only 19 mths old so perhaps too early to tell. But she has had lots of antibiotics! So I have been trying to persuade her to give some pro-biotics (as she is currently on yet another dose) and she has just said she has done some research on the internet and 'they are not suitable for under 3 years old except with professional advice, and they need to be taken relatively close to the very first dose if not the first dose of antibiotics, so as she is nearly finishing the dose then there is no point'. And she will discuss this with her GP next time he is adminstering anti-biotics!!! It is so difficult to persuade people when they think the GP is god. I had been hopeful as she has seen such a massive improvement in my son I thought I could convince her of this!! Surely there is nothing harmful in pro-biotics for little ones?? Guest guest
I rang Dennis the Chemist about probiotics for a friend's two year old. I can't remember which one he recommended - but was very helpful. May be worth passing on his details.
