Guest guest
, I appreciate your concern and also wonder about this child's source of exposure, even in light of the fact that medical records from her pediatrician indicate that this was investigated and it was determined that the exposure was due to auto-innoculation. Any legal responsibilities for reporting/investigating have happened through her MD. I have just established care with this patient and her mother, and have learned that the parents are estranged, so I have no way of knowing what is happening on the father's side. I have wondered if I need to broach this subject with Mom, but if I decide to do so it will be when trust is further established. Would you do something differently? If you would, I would be interested in hearing how you would handle it. -- NDNorth field, RI
