We have not heard from Tony for a while....anyone know if he is OK? The last thing that was that he was having a Thanksgiving dinner. Just wonder how he handled it all. debby Debby, I heard from Tony about a week ago (I think it was a week.) He was preparing for his trip to Barcelona and Majorca and seemed to feel well. I'll check in on him again. June, some states have short-term disability payments that come through quickly and easily, separate from SSI. California's is quite good. My HMO was able to give me the information and forms I needed to apply. Perhaps your doctor and/or HMO can get you started finding the resources that will apply to you. I'm sorry to hear you're having such a hard time. Jerry --- wooden shoe. Harper

I posted this question on as well as here.... has been having loose bowels about every other day 3-4 times in a day...could this be caused by the vitamins? are they cleaning out his system...Is this good? .. .. >>>> THere is a BIG difference between diarhhea which is caused by pathogens and loose stools which can be a good thing.... lots of dietary fiber will do this. Ideally people with healthy guts move their bowels a couple of hours after every meal. THis really keeps toxins from building up and can improve health. Too much vitamin C AT ONE TIME can do this, just divide the dose to give a bit several times a day. Magnesium can do this too. Just decrease the dose a bit and then when the stools firm up to your liking, increase the Mg several times a day to your optimum dose. Certain seasonings can also stimulate peristalis....... mjh http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/
Guest guest
Welcome Destiny, My name is Janet and we have an 8 year old son named that was diagnosed with XLA when he was 5. We saw Dr. B at the pediatric clinic at National Jewish and he was the one who picked up on 's problems (after our family doctor just thought we were " overreacting to lots of minor illnesses " . Dr. B immediately called Dr. Gelfand, who happened to be in Boston speaking at a conference and discussed 's case at length. Dr. Gelfand wanted us to be in his office first thing on Monday morning when he returned. What a wonderful man! He ordered all the CT scans for us also. He told us that most of these kids do have some lung damage that may not have been detected from prior pneumonias, etc.. did have some lung problems but his lungs have not gotten any worse since he started IVIG. We have CT scans done regularly to monitor him. We had our infusions done at National Jewish until we moved and Dr. Gelfand would usually be there and check out almost every time. We have since moved from the Denver area but to our relief, we found a immunologist in our new area that trained at National Jewish under Dr. Gelfand. Good luck with Tucker. The infusions have given us a totally different son. He is now healthy and has more energy than he ever has. What an amazing transformation! Janet, mom to , age 8 XLA. IVIG every 4 weeks, Also mom to many others
