Not everyone does great with PD, but a LOT of folks have had great success with it. Soil organisms saved Jordan Rubin's life, and have returned many people and pets back to health. Mercola uses it extensively in his practice and reports excellent success with it with many patients, albeit not all. AFAIK, EM (Effective Microorganisms) which also contain SBOs have been used in Japan for decades and are currently gaining popularity in the US, as some folks, like Vinny Pinto of the Live Foods list, have had excellent results using EM brews. Personally, I'm taking both PD and and an EM brew and am not worried because the owner of a competitor product has some disparaging words to say about SBOs. Natren has also taken PB8 to task on the Internet - maybe there's something to it, I don't know, but there's nothing in this email that raises an alarm for me re PD. In any case PD is the only product that has normalized my stools, so I can be added to the thousands of other testimonials out there. I'm open to sensible and evidentiary criticism of any of the products I'm currently using, but this author offers neither. Sounds more like scare tactics from a major competitor. The author should provide some specific studies that show the SBOs used in PD causing harm, rather than broad statements about SBOs incorporating genetic materials, etc. I mean if SBOs as a broad class do all these bad things then we probably wouldn't be here nor any other mammal since we all have consumed soil organisms from *soil* and our ancestors much more so than modern industrialized folks. I'm not saying she's wrong, only that she doesn't provide any evidence other than her own summary of some papers she was sent from a PD competitor. Best to read the original research rather than get it filtered through someone else - think " cholesterol myths " , for example. The only concern I currently have about PD is the iron it contains, as I tested slightly high in iron, and don't want to have excess iron in my blood. Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc.
