Guest guest
Cool website, very soothing and inviting. I am not sure if that was the effect you were going for. Have you issued a press release? That is something that you may want to do and see if anything sticks. Very little effort with possibility of good exposure if any news organization bites. good luck rocky --- samanthasanfran wrote: > Hi folks- Just thought some of you might want to see my website, > www.drmalm.com. Guest guest
, I like your website a lot, but if you are only taking mostly cash, you need to address credit cards (as in which ones do you accept) and perhaps you should mention Health Savings Accounts (ex. “For those with HSAs, my pricing might actually save you money. Ask me how!”). Otherwise, very cool. Good luck! website, doors open Hi folks- Just thought some of you might want to see my website, www.drmalm.com. I opened my doors this week. Guest guest
I went with Amazing Charts for my EMR. It definitely has some kinks I'd love to see ironed out, but the price is right, and you can try it for up to three months for free- and the clock doesn't even start ticking until you have 10 patients. Appointmentquest is good overall- very affordable- but the customer service is not very good. The only way to contact them is through email, and sometimes they don't get back to you for days or at all. But for about $8/mo, I really can't complain. As we all know, you get what you pay for. Thanks, > > Nice website. > > Let us know how your online appointment system works out. > I see it is powered by ... http://www.appointmentquest.com/ > > I've always wanted to do something like online appointments, but we haven't > jumped yet. > > Are you using EMR? > > Cheers > > Locke, MD > Basalt, CO > University of Kansas Medical School 1991 > Eau (WI) Family Medicine Residency 1994 > 5 Years in Air Force -- [Laughlin AFB (Del Rio, TX) // Spangdahlem AB, > Germany] > Alpine Medical Group -- Private Group Practice since 1999 > http://www.alpinemedical.md > Job Share w/ Wife > AMG went independent from hospital MSO 10/04 > AMG made downpayment on Centricity EMR 12/04 > AMG went " live " with Centricity EMR 15 April 2005 > > > > website, doors open > > Hi folks- Just thought some of you might want to see my website, > www.drmalm.com. Guest guest
I've only needed Appointmentquest cust service twice. They responded resonably well (about a day) but it was by email... and basically they found the instructions needed from their files and sent it along. Then I had to hammer through the adjustments on my site to make it work. Took some time, but now is running flawlessly. I also got a higher priced version which may give it some more flexibility for me. Sam -- good luck, you've got a lot to be proud of taking this big step forward... and, I agree with , nice website but it can be better with you up-front and center on the main page! Guest guest
Hi , Overall I think you have a great website. Our OBGYN practice is in Castro Valley so I may be giving your developer a call down the road to get our website up and running. Please pass her name to me. I have a few comments regarding your site and business model One is I think it is great that you have your forms online. You might consider making your forms fill-in capable so that your patients can fill in the forms using their computer. Your SF technophiles might like that and down the road you may be able to port that data directly into your EMR. Another comment is that I saw your arbitration agreement on your website. I think this is a major turnoff for prospective customers. Third is I hope you are taking appointments by phone. It would be a turnoff if someone called your office and you directed them to your website. I'm not sure I agree with the idea of making your photo the masthead of the website. I think the layout is impressive. However, I did think that you were the wife in the picture in the masthead, so I'm sure a lot of prospects will as well. You might find out how the practice down the street got started. They may have started out taking insurance to build the practice and then gradually cut back. This would allow them to generate cash flow and build patient relationships that transcend the insurance relationship. Also regarding the practice down the street charging 3 times what you do and has a 3 week wait. Why are you charging so little? If you offered no wait and charge 3-4 times what you currently charge would it be a perceived value to your patients? I believe it would! I think your rates are seriously out of whack and you are underselling yourself. A better approach might be to charge market price and offer a friends and family discount. Your fee table also could set you up for misunderstanding from your patients on what a "simple" problem is, what 2 simple problems are and what a complex problem is. At times I surmise, you will be nickle and dimed over this. Guest guest
I meant to mention that too, . I thought you were the lady in the picture on the home page, too. :-) Don't take all the comments wrong. You've gotten a lot of constructive criticism of the site, but I think all of us think the look and content of the site is pretty awesome overall. Good luck with your first few weeks. Guest guest
When I first opened, I placed ads in the local newspaper. I asked various family friends of ours if they would be willing to be in the photo, which was basically showing a happy family. I didn't include my own photo. After the ads ran, our friends who were in the ad would later comment on how many people would come up to them and say, "I didn't know your <husband/wife/father/mother> was a doctor." After about 4 of those ads ran, with 4 different families, and continued comments like that, I eventually included my own (small) photo to avoid the confusion. I suppose if I saw an ad/website for a doctor, I might assume that there would be a picture of the doctor, too. , I just thought that the quality of your own photo didn't quite match the photographic quality of the other photos on your website. If your website is going to be a major way that patients find you, you want to make a good first impression. SetoSouth Pasadena, CAI meant to mention that too, .I thought you were the lady in the picture on the home page, too.:-)<710411521> <710411521> Don't take all the comments wrong. You've gotten a lot of constructive criticism of the site, but I think all of us think the look and content of the site is pretty awesome overall. Good luck with your first few weeks. Hope you get off to a great start.
Guest guest
My mom was the first person to point out that the photo of me isn't the greatest. Plus, I need to add a bit to my bio. I'm working on the photo, but my main battle has been trying to get the office phone to work, so those details will need to come later. I do appreciate all the candid feedback. It really does help. Thanks, > > > I meant to mention that too, . > > I thought you were the lady in the picture on the home page, too. > > :-) > > <710411521> > > > > <710411521> > > > > Don't take all the comments wrong.
