I've had all of the above. I have hypothyroid thyroiditis. My TSH levels

remain normal AS LONG as I am not consuming grain and eating enough protein.

That

for me was key.

When I eat grain and unrefined sugars my TSH levels go up as high as 45.

I have always felt pretty healthy though when I switched over from a vegan

whole foods diet (I made the switch 15 years ago or so) and I feel thet every

year my health improves but I also contantly fine tune things (add and cut out

foods).

As far as adrenal problems go, I feel that wheat/gluten/grains play a large

role in this (I'm sure Heidi and others will add more info) so I stay away from

those foods.

As far as foods to focus on, each person is different but I focus my diet on

fresh vegetables (especially leafy greens) sea vegetables , protein and some

fruits/nuts/seeds. And I use virgin coconut oil daily (helps with low thyroid).

I'm pretty pleased as I have been able to avoid using Armour for the most

part (I have used it in a few pregnancies).
