Guest guest
an organic pub?! how interesting - where is it? Simon G. It is really hard to say how often or what is realistic in terms of not getting sick. Much depends on our circumstances and how good we feel between. I suppose if I got sick more than twice a year I would be interested to look at ways to change my current practice. I was teaching all weekend but had dinner and lunch with a long term macrobiotic friend Rossoff. Also went to an organic pub for my mother’s birthday. It's frustrating to me too, and also a form of denial or justification to indulge in "bad" habits that may not be health supportive. There are a lot of people who smoke and then it's said as long as you don't eat meat or dairy that you'll never get lung cancer. It seems so silly to me! There do seem to be glaring areas for improvement within the current belief system. Are people really being honest about what they are eating? Are they being too restrictive and then having cravings? On my own behalf, those few times a year that I get sick, I think it's still from excess. It could be too many sweets coupled with overwork and not enough sleep, and although my immune system is unable to fight off that particular virus, I know that overall, my immune system is so much stronger than before. It's still an opportunity for me to look at my diet, lifestyle, etc., and ask myself if there is something I can improve or if there is another way I can be gentle with myself. I haven't been in the macro community that long so you've seen a lot more than I have, and it seems healthy to me to question the assumptions. When you say "regularly becoming sick" what does that mean to you (how often, for example)? I had a wonderful weekend! Thanks! Hope you did too. > >>>>>>> > >>> > > > >>>>>>> > >>> > > I can never find lotus root here.
