Guest guest
When dairy is added to foods containing iron does it help your body absorb it? Sally Fallon says it does but I have read that dairy decrease the amount of iron absorbed. Also she reveals how soy is not very good unless used fermented and in moderation but is it okay if it is sprouted? Last question: Dairy is mucous forming right? Last recently my 4 month old, 2 1/2 year old and myself all passed around a nasty cold. They had fevers and lots of congestion and coughing. All my natural healing books said to stop dairy to lessen mucous. So should one stop dairy when ill? Plus this illness came on the next day after my toddler had yogurt(raw from grass fed cow) for the first time. The only dairy he had prior to that was some butter (raw grass fed). I am new to this site and to Nourishing Traditions. We have not been eating dairy for the past 2 years believing it to be bad....now I am presented with info that real milk is good. Thank you for your help!!!!
