Are you talking about 'allergic shiners'?

Hi.

Lately my wife and even now my 6 month old daughter seem to be

developing particularly dark areas, or dark patches of skin, or 'dark

circles' under their eyes...but not myself.

Thanks for the followup Q. .

Yes, we think so. She has had red, itchy eyes over the summers and sinus

congestion year round since about '99 (until a week or so ago when a citracidal

solution spray I prepared for her cleared it up).

Since she was diagnosed with iron deficiency during delivery, which allegedly

may also cause dark spots under the eyes, she is now taking Floradix iron/herbs

again, in addition to iron rich foods.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've heard, and now need to research more

carefully for the first time, allergies are really a *blood toxicity*/liver

function issue, yes?

Appreciative,

and family

For my family, it usually means sinusitis. I've been trying to find a cure

since I was 17, good luck! My best bet to date is a Neti pot with tea

tree oil (about 3 drops) plus the usual 1 tsp salt. I've also tried kefir whey

(which helped) and plain salt solution (also helped). Guifenesin helps too,

keeps sectretions liquid. Working outside helps too, for the same reason,

as does Beconase. But if it gets bad, we still have to resort to antibiotics,

though

less than previously.

I've also been on a GF/CF diet, which has helped my sinuses a LOT. I tend

to think though, that a lot of the issue is sinus SHAPE, as Price got into

a lot. If your diet was deficient a long time ago, you may always be

prone to sinusitis. If I find an easy cure, I'll post it ...
