Trader Joe's now had Kosher Dill Pickles that look (on the label, at least)

as if they are made like Bubbies, with cucumbers, water, salt, spices,

garlic, dill, calcium chloride. Anybody know if these are NT-friendly

pickles?

My understanding is yes, they are fermented. I don't

know if they pasteurize them or not, but I think not (since

they keep them refrigerated and if I recall right, warn

about them giving off gas? Or I may be mixing it up with

their kraut, which was " live " ).

Hi ,

>Are pickles allowed? I have been on the diet for about 3 months now,

>with a few cheats. But I find myself craving pickles...

****I seem to get away with pickles -- organic baby garlic dills. I

think it's the vinegar that some people react to. We are encouraged

to make our own 'pickles' -- sauerkraut is a pickling of cabbage, and

since cucumbers are alright, then pickled ones would be as well. I

avoid the 'ordinary' pickles on the market that are loaded with dyes

and some preservatives.
